I have a great altered clipboard tutorial to share with you today, loaded with step by step pictures. I just die cut them from the yellow background paper then sponged the centers and edges with Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberries. Pull out some of the strands to fray the top and bottom edge.
Trace around the clipboard and then trim the paper to fit.
I used my glue gun to add the embellishment onto the top of the metal clip, and used the reserved strands of burlap to make the bow. Use a glue gun to glue two pieces of the burlap ric rack on either side of the clip as shown. My fingers have been itching to work with it, and this morning I rose before the sun with a vision for this card.
Take a bit of sponge, and your copper stamp paint and dab it all over the metal clip, and over the area you just misted. Then I cleaned up the green inks on my craft mat to add some depth to the color palette. Yellow and pink is one of my favorite color combinations.
I know I had sunshine in my soul while making it!
A Peek Inside Creating cards with special details on the inside is one of my favorite things to do. Some of my favorite vintage buttons filled the centers, adding a sweet vintage vibe to this very colorful card. Thanks for stopping by! The shaped edge on this die is so very shabby chic.
Remove the liner from the Scor-tape and press the jute ribbon into place. Thanks for stopping by!
It is just so full of happy! What a fun place to add photos, or write little messages! Tear a piece to run along the base of the clipboard if desired. I hope this cheery little card added some sunshine to your day. I hope you enjoyed it and were inspired to create your own altered clip board.
Ink the edges and glue down the same way you did on the back side. I also stamped the wonderful Nuts and Bolts Flower multiple times and layered the inked images to create great dimension.
Now you are ready to decorate your clipboard in whatever way you choose. When the stamp paint is dry, spritz the entire area thoroughly with some sort of turquoise mist.
I created a little waterfall folio using the Waterfall One Die. Seal the back of the clipboard with Studio Matte Multi Medium and set aside to dry. Yes, indeed…Happy IS my favorite color!
Bits and bobs of my sunshiny yellow paper add pops of color to the folio. When everything has dried, run the Scor tape from the sides of the metal clip all the way around the back of the clipboard and around to the opposite side of the clip. Disclosure Happy is My Favorite Color: I wanted to balance the design, and filling this with more vintage buttons did the trick, along with a sweet little pink clothes pin.
The leaves were die cut from the same yellow panel using dies from Pom Pom Posies.Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies for Stamp Ink Paper. I used the Stampin’ Up! Paisleys & Posies stamp set from the upcoming Holiday Catalog to create my card for the Stamp Ink Paper color challenge this week.
